Hi there! Welcome to this new space. I decided to go ahead and create a seperate blog to chronical my new journey but kept it connected to Love’s A State of Mind to continue the anonymity. I’m inclined to write more truthfully when my name isn’t out there for the world to judge. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Foster Mom R. I’ve been a foster parent for 7 years and had a total of 9 children live with me. 4 went home, 4 were adopted and 1 went home but is the sibling of the 4 adopted and so she spends quite a lot of time with us. I work a full time job as a paralegal and last year got my masters degree in health care law. I have been heavy my whole adult life but managed to gain over 25 lbs in the last year. I had been contemplating weight loss surgery for the past year and decided that I was going to use my upcoming physical with my doctor to discuss options.
